The team<br \/>\nsurveyed 2250 patients between 65 and 84 years old as part of the clinic<br \/>\nstudy Salisbury.<br \/>\nAlso, the effect of reduced vision on daily activities<br \/>\nlike shopping, cooking or &#8216;picking up a phone&#8217; had the most<br \/>\nsignificant effect on mortality risk.<br \/>\nAssistant Professor Sharon Crist said: &#8220;When people couldn&#8217;t<br \/>\nnow to succeed with such activities due to reduced vision,<br \/>\nThen life expectancy was decreasing.&#8221; According to the professor,<br \/>\nResults highlight the value of preventing vision problems for<br \/>\nolder individuals.
